Experience matters when someone has lived, learned, and healed from trauma. Someone who’s been through trauma, narcissistic abuse and parental alienation can love and support others in ways empathy alone cannot. They spot subtle manipulation and mind games, acknowledge deep loss, set real recovery expectations, and show healthy boundaries and spiritual strength. Past-healed experience allows coaches to speak the truth kindly, listen without judging, and give practical, proven encouragement that respects both hurt and hope. As the Bible says, God’s comfort equips us to comfort others.
(2 Corinthians 1:3–4).
